Teachers Workshop
Free on Saturday March 8, 9:00 am to noon
Explore the biology of human variation and see how culture shapes ideas about race in this special one-time only workshop designed for middle and high school teachers. Instructors will introduce new teaching tools that meet national and state standards in science/biology and social studies/social sciences.
Training will be provided by Dr. Mary Margaret Overby of the American Anthropological Association and Dr. Janis Hutchinson, associate professor of anthropology at the University of Houston. This free workshop will include refreshments. Three continuing education credits will be provided for all participants.
