Volunteers & Interns
Whether they’re bringing science to life in our exhibition halls or welcoming students and chaperones for school visits, volunteers are an essential part of the team at Liberty Science Center. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, and you don’t need a science background. The only requirements are curiosity, enthusiasm and a dedication to learn – and share what you’ve learned with others!
Who can volunteer?
Seniors work side by side with teens and families, and business professionals can help out as a group or individually on the weekends. We have volunteer and internship opportunities for adults, college students, high school students and families throughout the year. Volunteers will be placed in roles based on their skills, interests and talents, with meaningful and important assignments. Training is provided for all volunteers.
Depending on your background, you could become involved in almost any area: interacting with guests on our exhibition floors, helping develop and deliver educational programs, staffing special events, performing administrative duties, handling press visits or photo shoots, and more. We can create new volunteer opportunities based on your skills and our needs.
