Wildlife Challenge
Could you survive as a wild animal living among the streets, sidewalks and sewer pipes of the urban jungle? Find out at Liberty Science Center's first outdoor exhibition prototype. You'll crawl, climb and claw your way through the challenges that face urban wildlife every day. Are you up to the challenge?

Squirrel Scurry
Squirrels can can race along narrow tree branches and power lines at up to 20 miles an hour. Their long tails help provide balance. Scurry across narrow beams, and see if you can stay upright by balancing with your arms.
Egret Alley
New Jersey’s salt marshes provide homes for species ranging from blue crabs to herons. Birds such as egrets navigate the thick grass and deep, damp mud with their narrow bodies and wide, splayed-out feet, which keep them from sinking. Can you make your way through a misty field of bamboo and the soft earth below?
Worm Wiggle
What’s the secret to moving like a worm? It's all in the wiggle! They’ve got no bones, but the complex muscles throughout their bodies let them glide forward or backwards with just a wiggle. You’ll need all of your muscles to squirm among giant balls netted together to form a worm burrow.
Rat Ramble
Remember the three blind mice? Well, rats don’t have it much better. Their eyesight is poor but they make up for it with powerful senses of smell, hearing and touch. Crawling through a series of dark pipes, you’ll have to rely on those senses to find the exit.
Spider Climb
Spiders climb up and down their webs using just the tips of their legs, which often have tiny claws and toothed bristles. You can crawl across a suspended web without getting stuck, just like a fly-catching spider!
