Robotics Summer Camp

Let your kids and teens experience real-world engineering design and science challenges using some of the coolest technologies in the field this summer.

Robotic workshops will be conducted by scientists and engineers from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. The program includes Liberty Science Center exhibitions, IMAX® film presentations, lunch and a certificate of participation.

Two sessions are offered for each course.

Smart LEGO Robot Design Course (ages 8-11)
Participants will learn about digital design and rapid prototype testing, design systems with sensory feedbacks, and construct and program their own robots.
SESSION 1: July 7–11, 2008, 9:30am–4:00pm
SESSION 2: July 14–18, 2008, 9:30am–4:00pm

Product Design and Development Course (ages 12-15)
Participants will learn about product design processes, digital design and manufacturing technologies, advanced computer-aided design, rapid prototyping, and building and testing radio-controlled cars.
SESSION 1: July 7–11, 2008, 9:30am–4:00pm
SESSION 2: July 14–18, 2008, 9:30am–4:00pm

The cost is $850 per participant, per session, with a non-refundable deposit of $100 payable to Liberty Science Center. (Note: Liberty Science Center Members receive a 10 percent discount. Not a member? Join here.)
