Young Learners Lab

Designed to foster the inquisitive nature of young learners from 10 months through second grade. Children will gain the skills to make effective decisions about the world around them.

(Alpha) Lab
Home to our School Residency and other extended programs, groups of 30 learners can engage in guided scientific exploration.

(Beta) Lab
An ideal setting for long-term experimentation and equipped for research, this facility can accommodate groups of 15 learners.

(Gamma) Lab
A slightly larger setting for larger group sizes of 40 learners, this facility will house our plasma physics and energy activities and can accommodate visiting scientists as they work with students, teachers and other audience members to conduct real research.

(Delta) Lab
Groups of 30 learners can analyze real-time streaming data on an eight-panel display unit and engage in real scientific research.

(Pi) Lab
Home of our lab-based Electronic Field Trips, this hi-tech, fully equipped facility can accommodate up to 30 people, engaging them in science using our hands-on approach to learning and teaching.
